Stone Street Guide

Stone Street is one of New York City’s oldest and most historic streets. It was paved back in the 1600’s, being one of the first in New York City. In the 1980’s, it was split in two by the construction of the Goldman Sachs building, but remained a place of popularity. It is a magnificent nook in the middle of New York’s hectic financial district and lined with restaurants and bars. If you work downtown, you know a break from all the hustle and bustle is needed every once in a while, and this is the place to go. Any one of the following stops is worth the trip:

Ulysses Folk House– Ulysses is a great place to go with friends because of its fun, full-of-life atmosphere. They have daily and weekly events, promotions, live entertainment, etc. They are even hosting an open golf outing in a few weeks for anyone to attend! Financier Patisserie– Opened in 2002 by the owner of Harry’s Café and Steak, Financier Patisserie offers an extensive array of traditional and French pastries as well as coffees and lunch items. It is named not only after its Wall Street clientele but also for the French almond cake baked in the shape of a gold bar. In recognition of the name, a small financier is given out with every coffee purchase.
